To finish bonnet simply fold in half along foundation chain and stitch together. This seam will be at the back of the bonnet.

This is so cute. Thank you for this. I’m wondering if I use a slightly larger hook if it would fit my 7 mth. old grand daughter… I will have to find out. Now my 10 year grand daughter likes it too….
Oh my, if I ever have a girl I’m going to have to remember this pattern! So sweet.
what weight yarn does this use? Or what is the gauge?
It is so cute! I’ll be giving it a go very soon. And thanks for the link to the booties I’ll be making a matching set for the bonnet. Thank for making this pattern available!

Also was wondering what weight yarn this uses please…it is adorable!
I’ll look it up and put it in the pattern
Thanks for these wonderful patterns – you are so generous with your coolness!!!
Thank you!
Hi there, these are adorable! I’ve just finished making the bonnet but it’s so so so tiny, that I think it might be better for a doll! Maybe I used to wrong wool… What was the finished size of your bonnet? Also what wool did you use?I made it again with a 5mm needle and it seemed better. So it must’ve been the wool I guess…
Hi Sophia. Yes the yarn was pretty chunky. It would probably be better with a 4mm or 5mm hook. Thanks for your comment, I’ll figure it out and change the pattern.
Thanks so much for the pattern!! I am going to make it in silky white as a Christening bonnet
The end result was very pretty and it was quick to make as well. I used a 3mm hook and a bambu-cotton mix yarn, but to make it a bit bigger I crocheted 17 rows and double crochet lining to bottom sides. Looks nice as it gives a nice finishing touch to it and is cool during summer! Thanks so much for posting the pattern – I will next try the booties and then make matching mittens as well.
If I wanted to make larger sizes, how many stitches would I add to my chain length at the beginning. Would it be 7 ??
Hi there! I’m pretty sure it’s 6 – Multiples of 6 + 2. But I’ll make sure that’s right and get back to you.
Love this bonnet. It’s very similar to one I’ve made called the Lace Pixie Bonnet, the pattern for which can be found on Ravelry. I also like your Apricot Bonnet. Happy crocheting!
Hi, thanks for your kind words! I’ll have a look at your version on Ravelry
P.S. I also love your photography!

Hi there, beautiful pattern. I was just wondering, what are the finished measurements or guage for this pattern? I am using Caron simply soft.
Thanks
I was going to measure it then realised I gave the original one away. I will have to make another.
