It was a race to the finish line but I did it! I was still weaving in ends on the morning of her birthday but she got to wear it for her party. I’m particularly proud of myself as it was the first time I’ve made something from a (particularly confusing) chart and not a written pattern. And just to make it more complicated the original dress is for a much older child so I had to adapt it for a 2year old – which was a LOT harder than it sounds.

Errrm. Good question. It was for a 3mm hook and it’s really soft and silky, that’s about all I know 🙂

Well, it’s my birthday soon, and i think we can safely say, not knowing what all the fuss is about isn’t something I grew out of 😉 Glad she had fun though!

Beautifully done!! I have been away and just now logged on – the first thing I did was to see how you had made out. WOW – from a chart, adjusting size, racing to meet a deadline – you are amazing 🙂 I know I could not have done it under these conditions – maybe not even with more time, not figuring out size adjustments, etc. I have difficulty working from charts and usually give up, looking for written patterns instead. Congratulations on creating a gorgeous dress for your daughter.

how did you alter it? thats what gets me caught up all the time, i really wish there was a tutorial on how to alter the sizes
Unfortunately it was rather difficult, I can’t believe it even turned out. I think you really need a PHD in mathematics to alter crochet patterns.
