I made these lamb and fox hats for a dress-up party we went to today. I found this great free pattern for the lamb hat here and the fox one I just made up as I went along. I’m really happy with how they turned out. I also made some fox booties that you can’t really see in the photos, I might take some more soon. For the booties I adapted my favourite free pattern and added little claws on the front. Seriously, it’s such a great pattern – I use it allll the time.
I made this bunting for my daughter’s first birthday. It was one of my first projects and I think its a good one for a beginner. Every crocheter has to make a bunting at least once. You can find the pattern here.
Before I start with the patterns for boys I want to share a pattern for this crocheted collar I made for my daughter. I’m still putting the finishing touches on it but I should be up within the next few days.
I made this cushion for my daughter out of a vintage doily I found at our local op-shop. It was really easy to make – I just crocheted around the edge until it was the size I wanted. But it wasn’t as easy to find a circular cushion insert. Has any one else come across…
So I’ve decided to do this ‘granny a day’ thing. I’m not sure how it will go as I get bored with doing the same thing very, very easily (which is why I’ve never managed to make a blanket before). But I’m willing to give it a go. Wish me luck.
I made the dark grey one first by starting with a 56 ch and adding an extra row between R3 and R4. Unfortunately It was a little bit big for my daughter so I made the light grey one which fits her much better. I would recommend this one for a 2 -3 year old….
So I’ve almost finished this pattern. I’ve written out the toddler pattern I’ve just got to finish the baby version and take some more pictures. Pattern should be up sometime this week. Gosh I love crochet! NOTE: The finished hat has pompoms on the ends of the ties. Alas, someone was inpatient and didn’t tie…
